Historic Markers Challenge

Since 1949, the Kentucky Historical Society has partnered with community members to install more than 2,400 historical markers across the Commonwealth that share the state's complex and remarkable history.

This collaborative process has evolved through the decades, but its fundamental goal has remained the same: to educate Kentuckians about important historical topics near the meaningful sites connected to them.

Man O’ War H.O.G. Ride Challenge Rules

● Have fun!

● Accumulate 1 point by submitting a picture of your motorcycle, any Kentucky Historical Society historical marker and both sides of the marker (help all of us learn more about our wonderful Commonwealth) on the Man O’ War HOG Facebook Group. This will require multiple pictures.

● 1 post for each day's ride. Include your cumulative total with each post.

● Make your post as soon as possible after the ride is complete (No sandbagging!)

● The destination locations provided are approximate (the GPS coordinates used only went to 2 significant digits). It’s the rider’s responsibility to research exact destination locations.

● You can’t use the same picture to claim a point in each of the challenges. (No double dipping!!)

By participation riders acknowledge that motorcycling is inherently a dangerous activity that can result in death or serious injury and that the administrators or Riders are not liable or responsible for you on your self guided rides and tours.
